Pratt & Whitney came to an agreement with the government on April 11 to provide 53 engines for Lockheed Martin F-35As, F-35Cs, and F-35B. This contract is estimated of over $1 Billion. To top off this massive deal, Pratt & Whitney is set to come to an agreement with Pentagon for another order in the coming days.

In an alarming bit of space news, NASA revealed that their prized Kepler spacecraft has been in emergency mode for the past several days and they are now frantically trying to resuscitate it. The issue was first discovered by NASA ground controllers on Thursday April 7th. NASA had decided to adjust the Kepler spacecraft to point towards the center of the Milky Way, but when ground control issued the command, there are several manufacturers for production of space craft.

Microsemi Corp announced on Thursday March 24 that it will sell their Board Level Systems Business to Mercury System Inc. for $300 Million, straight cash homie. Microsemi Corp states that they were able to free up capital and are able divert more focus to developing proprietary technology, focusing in on aerospace/defense, communications, industrial, and storage.
