In recent news, the organization has announced they are making high-speed in-flight connectivity for helicopters more accessible with its Aspire 200 satellite communications. HDR has the added positive feature of being able to provide faster speeds for fixed-wing aircrafts. This gives aircraft operators and passengers faster internet broadband while airborne. Honeywell states the Aspire 200 SwiftBroadband system brings reliable, consistent, high-speed connectivity capabilities to the helicopter.
These capabilities were recently demonstrated from a Leonardo AW139 which was in the air. It was able to connect a passenger to the ground during a FaceTime conversation. This high-spped in-flight connectiviity, via the Aspire 200 SwiftBroadband, is an exciting advancement for the organization and for aircraft technology as a whole
