On April 24th 2016, Adnan Farooqui released an article on Uber Gizmo that talks about NASA’s plans to launch a new program for the Green Aviation Technology. The program that NASA is planning to launch is the New Aviation Horizons and Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories And Components”
The plan for this new program is to aim towards having a whole new selection of fleet of X-Planes that will use and implement more of the green aviation that is being used in the industry. NASA is one of the forefront companies that is spearheading the project in order to change the future of aviation towards a more green industry.
There is plans for a new supersonic jet to begin testing in 2020. This new supersonic jet was awarded to NASA by Lockheed Martin. This new supersonic jet will be implementing Quiet Supersonic Technology in order to decrease the decibels in its sonic boom which is quite common with very fat planes.
NASA, also known as National Aeronautics and Space Administration, was formed in July of 1958 as an independent agency of the United States federal government’s executive branch. NASA is responsible mainly for civilian space programs along with aeronautics and aerospace research and development. NASA has over 17,000 employees and is headquartered in Washington D.C. The agency has over 7 manned programs that were used for space exploration among many other things. NASA’s most successful and known mission was the Apollo 11. The Apollo 11 put the first man on the Moon in 1969. NASA’s motto is “For the Benefit of All.”
