Harris Corp and Boeing Partner Up for Future Military Aircraft

On Sept 29, 2016 Country E. Howard wrote an article for Intelligent Aerospace talking about how Harris Corporation and Boeing are teaming up in order to provide their service for future military aircrafts. They are working on advanced core missions that includes aircrafts communications, sensors, displays, and navigation.

Harris Corporation will be the one producing the main hardware that will be then implemented into Boeing’s Secure Computing Solution hardware. This hardware will then have Boeing Phantom Fusion software and a multi-level network. Harris Corporation will have their custom advanced security and commercial off the shelf processors (also known as COTS) in order to provide mission processing hardware on open systems architecture.

Here is what Ed Zoiss, the Harris Electronic Systems president has to say about this.

“Our core processor hardware adapts to the mission needs of any military aircraft in a cost-effective way. We will use our expertise in ruggedized, high-performance COTS hardware to provide the processing power and cross-platform applicability needed for mission success.”
